Introduction:
LongPass Filters are useful for isolating wavelengths from different regions of the spectrum, allowing high transmission above the cut-on wavelength (in the pass band), and high reflection below the cut-on wavelength (in the blocking band). Long PassFilters coating's construction is essentially a modified quarter-wave stack, using interference effects rather than absorption, to isolate their spectral bands. The durable dielectric coating of LongPass Filters makes them instrumental in many industrial and Research & Development applications, due to the rejection band optical density of 3.0 and >85% transmission above the cut-on wavelength.
