Introduction: | Selection of thin nonlinear BBO crystals cut and coated for second harmonic generation (SHG) of Ti:Sapphire laser wavelength.
Crystals down to 100um thickness can be manufactured as free standing crystals (not attached to any kind of support). However, ring holders are highly recommended for safe handling of these kind of very thin crystals. The minimal aperture of free standing BBO is 5x5 mm, and maximal up to 22x22 mm. The tolerance is +/-50um for crystals of thickness down to 300um and +/-20um for crystals of thickness down to 100um.
