| Introduction: | LongPass Filters are useful for isolating wavelengths from different regions of the spectrum, allowing high transmission above the cut-on wavelength (in the pass band), and high reflection below the cut-on wavelength (in the blocking band). Long PassFilters coating's construction is essentially a modified quarter-wave stack, using interference effects rather than absorption, to isolate their spectral bands. The durable dielectric coating of LongPass Filters makes them instrumental in many industrial and Research & Development applications, due to the rejection band optical density of 3.0 and >85% transmission above the cut-on wavelength.
LongPass Filters characteristics may be customized upon customers' request.
LongPass Filter transmission region is Cut-on-Wavelength to 2200 nm (Min).
LongPass Filter rejection region is 200 nm to Cut-on-Wavelength. |

| Shortpass Glass Filters |

| Introduction: | Short Pass Filter is Useful for isolating short wavelength regions of the spectrum. Unlike colored filter glass, the cut-on and cut-off wavelength of long pass filters and short pass filters will shift to a shorter wavelength as the angle of incidence is increased. This feature can be useful in applications where it is desirable to fine tune the location of the cut-on, or cut-off wavelength. In addition, our edgepass filters are hermetically sealed to provide maximum humidity protection, and they can be stacked to create a custom bandpass filter.
Shortpass filter transmission region is 0.7 x Cut-off-Wavelength to Cut-off-Wavelength (Unless 0.7 x Cut-off-Wavelength is < 400 nm, then 400 nm to Cut-off-Wavelength).
Shortpass filter rejection region is 1.3 times Cut-off-Wavelength. |
